REFLECTIONS
IN RETROSPECT..
- As this was one of the very first UX projects I had worked on, my knowledge about the design process in general was very limited. I was convinced that design is a linear process that
starts with research and ends with testing and felt like I had to
stick to it. Now that I know better than that, I can see plenty of
scope to potentially design a better solution.
- I feel I should have actively involved more users throughout the process and not just at the initial stages.
- As I was applying to universities abroad at that point in my life, I fell under the target user group which might've partially influenced my design decisions.
REFLECTIONS
WAY FORWARD
- The design only considers one aspect of the application process- shortlisting universities
- Other aspects of applying for universities abroad (e.g. IELTS/TOEFL, GRE, LORs, SOP, etc.) should be incorporated in the design
- The app could have a feature that enables users to stay on top of their applications by enabling them to track each application and its status
